Ons bedrijf
Polyganics ontwikkelt, produceert en verkoopt wereldwijd biologisch afbreekbare medische producten. Onze producten zijn vormgegeven in schuim, sheets en tubes, gemaakt van bio-afbreekbare synthetische polymeren. Ze worden door het lichaam afgebroken, waardoor er in een later stadium geen chirurgische ingreep meer nodig is om ze te verwijderen. Deze eigenschap maakt onze producten zeer patiëntvriendelijk, veilig en kostenbesparend.

Wat houdt deze baan in
De Technician – Operator is onderdeel van een team binnen de afdeling Operations.
Het team houdt zich bezig met het produceren van medische producten, het uitvoeren van analyses en het maken van karakteriseringen.
Daarnaast werken de Technicians mee aan het ontwikkelen, vervaardigen en verpakken van de producten.

Jouw taken en verantwoordelijkheden zijn onder andere:

-het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van chemische analyses, onderzoeken en testen van medische producten volgens ons ISO 13485 kwaliteitssysteem
-vervaardigen van producten
-uitvoeren van eindcontroles op producten

Wie zoeken wij

Je hebt:

-een afgeronde MBO opleiding op biomedisch, laboratorium of chemisch gebied met affiniteit voor (biomedische) polymeren
-kennis van standaarden, richtlijnen en normen voor productontwikkeling van medische producten (ISO 13485-, MDD- en FDA- richtlijnen)
-uitstekende schriftelijke en mondelinge uitdrukkingsvaardigheid in de Engelse en

Nederlandse taal
Je kunt zelfstandig werken, bent nauwkeurig en resultaatgericht.

The job
As our Clinical research associate, you will be part of our Research & Development (R&D) department. You will team up with our Clinical research manager to prepare, perform and report clinical studies for our products according to applicable quality standards and guidelines.
You will provide input for our strategy in the clinical development of new and existing products.

You will:
-support clinical research activities

-develop competitor intelligence in the field of clinical research

-support product registrations when clinical issues arise

-contribute to R&D projects

-collect post-market input

Your profile
We are looking for a team player who will thrive in an entrepreneurial and technology driven business environment. You have a Master degree in preferably Life Sciences. Knowledge of standards, guidelines and norms for product development (ISO, MDD-/MDR- and FDA guidelines) and for clinical studies (Good Clinical Practice) is essential.
Knowledge of the surgical areas in which the Polyganics’ products are applied is an advantage.

Our company

Polyganics is an innovative, privately-held medical technology company bringing to market unique bioresorbable devices to facilitate tissue repair and regeneration after surgery. From its current ISO 13485-certified manufacturing facility, products are distributed to customers worldwide. Polyganics is about to move to a new facility at the Zernike Campus, Groningen, which will house its offices, state-of-the-art research laboratories and expanded manufacturing and packaging facilities.

The job

Polyganics is looking for a manager manufacturing engineering. In this job, you will lead a team within operations that is responsible for continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes (intermediates and final products). As lead of this team, you will be responsible for proposing and executing improvement projects that are related to safety, quality, yield and costs. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in capacity extension projects. You will report to the COO and co-operate on a daily basis with R&D, QA/QC and the product development teams. In addition, you will participate in cross-functional projects.

 Your profile

– MSc degree in chemistry/chemical engineering

– Strong ability to lead, plan and direct manufacturing and operations activities

– Strong knowledge of bioresorbable polymers

– At least 10-year work experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry

– Demonstrated experience with managing teams

– Solid interpersonal skills

– Robust analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems

– Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to set priorities within a changing environment

– Excellent verbal and writing communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
