Our first generation products are manufactured using our versatile, proprietary, synthetic and resorbable polymers. With our renowned expertise in processes, we can develop varied products with functions and modes of action well-suited to their intended use.
Our second generation developments have focused on either enhancing mechanical features, for example the glue utilized in LIQOSEAL® for improved tissue adherence, or incorporating cell-activating components, such as the hemostatic agents in HEMOPORE®.
In our incubator we envisage a third generation of products that facilitate complex tissue regeneration, e.g. temporary structures to guide cell growth and differentiation, and complementary vehicles that intervene with or modulate cellular processes, e.g. targeted delivery of anti-inflammatory agents.
Our versatile portfolio of polymers, processes and design capabilities further contribute to innovation and device enhancements. We have growing expertise in areas such as 3D printing, topology modifications and multi-layered (gradient) structures.
Our ongoing conceptual activities are conducted and funded in-house and/or in collaboration with strategic commercial partners, centers of excellence and other institutes.
