NEUROLAC® nerve guides are indicated for reconstruction of a peripheral nerve discontinuity up to 20 mm in patients with a complete division of a peripheral nerve.
VIVOSORB® is a flexible bioresorbable polymer film which is designed to separate opposing tissues throughout the critical healing process.
NEUROCAP® is intended to protect a peripheral nerve end and to separate the nerve from surrounding environment to reduce the development of a symptomatic end-neuroma.
The use of NEUROLAC® as a ‘wrap-around device’ is currently being investigated.
LIQOSEAL® is indicated for use as an adjunct to standard methods of dural closure, such as suturing, to provide a watertight closure of the dura mater, reducing cerebrospinal fluid leakage after dural closure procedures.
We are investigating the use of LIQOSEAL® to reduce leakage of cerebrospinal fluid from the spine.
The Liver and Pancreas Sealant Patch is a bioresorbable patch that is indicated for use in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery to reduce leakage of fluids from the site of surgery into the abdominal cavity and as an adjunctive hemostatic device to control minimal to moderate bleeding at the surgical site.
Additional indications for the Liver and Pancreas Sealant Patch are currently being investigated.
Ongoing activities to enhance our polymer platform, improve our processes and develop highly innovative medical devices.
Versatile polymers facilitating repair, regeneration and recovery
Our bioresorbable, biocompatible medical devices are designed for use in targeted clinical applications, to drive effective tissue repair and regeneration. The products are easy to use and safe, degraded and removed via the body’s natural excretory systems after fulfilling their function to support healing.
Our leading programs are focused on selected surgical areas, including Neurosurgery and General Surgery, and we continue to invest in early-stage research projects.
We have also developed two commercial lines of business – Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Peripheral Nerve Repair (PNR). The ENT business was acquired by Stryker, a global leader in medical devices, in 2014. Polyganics continues to manufacture the portfolio.
