Director Marketing & Business Development
Romke Ribbels joined Polyganics in 2009 managing the marketing of its Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Peripheral nerve repair (PNR) product portfolio. Currently, as head of Global Market & Business Development he is responsible for achieving the Company's long-term strategic goals, building and maintaining key relationships, and identifying business opportunities in existing and new markets.
Mr Ribbels is a marketing and business development specialist with a strong track-record in the international medical life sciences industry.
Before joining Polyganics he worked in research and marketing positions for SMEs in the medical and life science industry (IQ Products, Bioclear). As an applied scientist and product specialist he was involved in (co-) development programs for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays for transplantation, oncology, perinatal and environmental purposes, with companies including Abbott Diagnostics, Hologic and Friesland Campina. As a product- and marketing manager he successfully connected the voice of the customer with technology into tangible products.
He has a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology (State University Groningen) and has a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen). He obtained his EQF6 Marketing manager degree at the Dutch Marketing Institute.
